Membership at American Legion Post 24 Is Open to Veterans, Families, and Community Supporters
Whether you’re a U.S. Armed Forces veteran, the family member of someone who served, or a proud supporter of those who wear the uniform, Post 24 welcomes you. Join a community rooted in service, patriotism, and connection—right here in McPherson. Membership is required for most events; however, we can qualify nearly everyone with the recent changes to the charter.

Post #24 is the “anchor” on Main Street, and we continue to upgrade our facility. We’re more than a veteran’s organization—we’re a community of service. Founded by and for those who served in the U.S.Armed Forces, our mission is to support veterans and their families, promote patriotism, and give back to the McPherson community.

Veterans Steak Dinner
November 8th 5-7 pm
The Veterans in Pfizer (VIP) group will provide a free complete 14oz ribeye steak dinner for veterans and a guest. Enjoy steak, baked potato, green beans, roll, and cake to honor your service. Reservations are NOT required.
Donate Auction Items to Support Toys for Kids
Now to November 28
Local businesses and neighbors — we need your help! Donate an auction item like a gift certificate, experience, themed gift basket, artwork, or unique product to support the Toys for Kids program. Your contribution directly helps bring Christmas joy to children in McPherson County. Contact Tresa Rauh at 620-419-6191.
Karaoke
November 8th 7-11 pm
Legion members and guests gather in the Lounge to unleash their inner rockstars. Great music, cold drinks, and fun for all. No cover charge.
Veterans Day
November 11th
8-10 am Free breakfast at the Legion
11 am Ceremony at the Park Department, 607 W 1st St
6:30-7:30 pm Free fried chicken dinner at the Legion

November 18th, Dinner at 5:30 pm,
Stories at 6:30 pm
Enjoy a free meal and hear powerful stories from local veterans. Join us each month as we build community through food, conversation, and shared service. Members and guests are welcome!
Family Night
November 20th, 5-6:30 pm
Open to the public. Proceeds support McPherson Optimist Club.
$6 meal – Pick 4: Hamburger/Hot Dog/Fries/Drink/Dessert.
Toy Run & Auction
November 29th
Noon – 1 pm Gather at Walmart for coffee & cocoa
1 pm Motorcycle parade to Legion
1:15 pm Sloppy joes and auction
Bring an unwrapped toy for a child birth to age 12. Sponsored by the American Legion Riders. Encourage your friends and community members to attend the auction. Proceeds support the Toys for Kids program, which brings Christmas joy to low income
Sunday Bingo
Everyone Welcome!
Join your neighbors every Sunday for an exciting afternoon of bingo with real cash prizes! Doors open at 1 PM. Early Bird games begin at 2 PM, with regular games running 2:45-5:30 PM.
Just $24 covers most games, with special jackpot games available. Play in our comfortable, smoke-free bingo hall with snacks and drinks available for purchase. Fully accessible facility with indoor smoking lounge.
Come for the prizes, stay for the fun!
Friday Food
Every Friday at 5:30 pm.
Wrap up your week with a tasty meal and good company. Each Friday features a different homemade favorite—like fried chicken, tacos, or meatloaf. Open to members and their guests. Check the calendar to see this week’s featured food!
